Keeping families safe is one of the top priorities for CT Security. CT Security is a family owned and operated, full-service security company located in Annville that installs alarm and video surveillance camera systems in home and small businesses. We have 12 years of experience in the alarm industry and are fully licensed and insured. We also provide monitoring, remote access, mPERS, fire, and access control services.

In general, an alarm system is a good way to protect your home from intruders. The first line of defense is to ensure your doors and windows are closed and locked. If that fails and an unwanted intruder gains access to your home, an alarm will be triggered by the event. When monitored, the alarm system triggered event will automatically notify the central monitoring station. Dispatch will call the contact persons of the household to verify the triggered event and dispatch the appropriate authorities to the residence if needed.

Protecting your family from intruders is not the only reason to have an alarm system installed in your home. Life safety devices such as smoke detectors should be installed on every level of your home as well as carbon monoxide detectors. While they won’t prevent fires or carbon monoxide build up, they will alert the alarm system when a certain level has been reached. Then, they will trigger sirens and the central monitoring station to dispatch the proper authorities. For all life safety devices (i.e., smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and heat detectors), dispatch is the first action taken. The second action is to notify the call list. This ensures the fastest possible response.

There are additional devices that can be added to your alarm system. These include motion detectors, glass breaks, thermostat control, light switches, key fobs, Wi-Fi cameras, and more. All of these devices and life safety devices can be remotely monitored and some controlled by remote access service from Alarm.com. Remote access can be installed on your smart phone, tablet, or accessed through a computer. There are many reasons to have remote access especially on your smart phone. The alarm system can be turned on and off, review the log when events are triggered (i.e., when someone in your household leaves/returns such as your child leaving/returning from school), watch Wi-Fi cameras live, adjust the temperature of your thermostat, turn lights on and off (can also set timer to turn on/off lights), and more! You can have peace of mind knowing your alarm system can be your eyes and ears when you are away from home at work, running errands, or on vacation.

With all of these great features also comes good news. Most home owners insurances will give up to a 20% discount for having an alarm system installed in your home. That means the money you save on home owners insurance can be used towards protecting your loved ones. Additionally, CT Security offers discounts to those who serve and protect our community (i.e., veterans, EMS, fire fighters, police, etc.).
