Basic Alarm System

A basic alarm system consists of a main control panel and several door/window sensors. For more layers of protection, you can add motion detectors and glass break detectors to your alarm system. Life safety devices such as smoke or carbon monoxide detectors are also recommended.

Our preferred method of secure communications with our centers is using the cellular network (GSM). We find this to be the most secure way of protecting your home residence as there are no wires that can be tampered with that would disable the alarm system.

Door/Window Sensors

Door/window sensors communicate with the control panel and will trigger an alarm when the signal has been breached.

Motion Detectors

Motion detectors can be added to rooms in your house to alert you when it senses motion in those rooms. They can be set to tolerate motion from pets up to 55 lbs

Glass Breaks

A glass break monitors for the sound of breaking glass. If an intruder breaks your window, the sound of the glass breaking will trigger an alarm.

Add-Ons and Accessories

Take your alarm system to the next level by adding a thermostat, appliance module, key FOB, panic button remote, and remote access

Thermostat

A thermostat gives you the ability to control your heat or air conditioner. With remote access on your smart phone or laptop, you can adjust the temperature even when you are not home.

Light Appliance Module

The appliance module plugs into your electrical outlet. When you plug a lamp into it, you can turn your lights on and off from your control panel or use remote access.

Key FOB

A key FOB allows you to turn your alarm system on and off when you are on-the-go.

Panic Button Remote

The Panic Button Remote is a compact, battery powered, wireless panic button that transmits an Emergency signal from any location within radio frequency (RF) range of the control panel.

Life Safety Devices

Life safety devices such as smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors can be added to your alarm system. This method is more beneficial to you as a home owner than stand alone devices. When they are connected to a alarm system, they can alert you through an email or text message when triggered. This is especially nice when you are not home or may not be in the same room as the triggered device. When your alarm system is monitored, it will also automatically notify the proper authorities.

Smoke or Heat Detectors

A smoke detetor alerts you when it senses smoke. It is recommended that a smoke detector be place on each level of your home. Ideal locations are bedrooms and the kitchen.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors

A carbon monoxide detector alerts you when it senses carbon monoide in your home. It should be placed in the basement of your home.
